Another OOTD

Trousers - River Island, Top - TK Maxx, Jacket & Boots - Asos, Snood - Accessorize

(I kind of tripped over in the last photo and thought I'd keep it to add a touch of comedy to this post)

As if it's almost November! I'd been telling everyone how mild I thought it was for late October, but there's a definite chill in the air now - I even got my big winter coat out yesterday! I'm in the mood for jumper buying... and just buying in general actually, I can't wait till I get paid! I recently rediscovered my Chelsea boots after not wearing them for months. I'm slightly obsessed with ankle boots for this time of year. I also got my black skinnies back yay! They were trapped in our broken washing machine for over a week but luckily they survived. Unfortunately however, my burgundy jeans haven't coped so well and the leather-look coating is peeling off :( Oh well. Although it's half term this week, it doesn't feel like it seeing as I have so much work to do. I have a ton of coursework this year and I want to get the bulk of it done before Christmas... procrastination isn't an option with university applications to do on top of everything else!

How is your week going?

OOTD

Jacket - Asos, Jeans - Topshop, Top - TK Maxx, Boots - Next

We've had sooo much rain lately! I quite like rain now and again, it's cosy, but constant downpour is just too much. I still haven't worn my new winter coat because although it's wet, it's actually fairly mild for mid-October... right, that's enough about the weather! The washing machine is currently malfunctioning (along with the dishwasher and the fridge), and my favourite black skinnies are trapped, so today I had to get my pale pink jeans out from the back of the drawer. I've been loving simple, comfy sweatshirts lately along with my new denim jacket - I'd been wanting one for a while and found this one on Asos reduced to £13.50! Such a bargain, especially seeing as I've been wearing it non-stop :) I definitely recommend Asos, they have loads of sales and delivery is free!

This is rather off topic, but I broke my toe on Saturday by misjudging the door frame and stubbing it very violently. I've strapped it to the adjacent toe and I'm going to just let it heal naturally - it's hardly like I could get a tiny cast on it! It's the first bone I've ever broken in my seventeen years, so I think I've been pretty lucky :)

Hope you're all having a great Monday,

Instagram Snaps #5 (and a ramble)

Reading The Sunday Times Style magazine in bed with a cuppa tea | Leicester | Cheeky slefie! | My munchkin | Delicious hot chocolate made by my momma | Pile of books on my bedside table

Hello! Sorry I've been gone for so long. I need to establish a proper blogging routine again! Life has been busy with school and university open days and personal statements and my new job (YAY) and whatever else. I have post ideas in mind and I've bought a few new clothing pieces lately, so new outfit of the days will be coming soon :)

This is a bit random,  but I thought I'd share it with you guys anyway... every year I say to myself that I won't procrastinate any more, but of course, I always slip into the habit of pushing school work back until the last minute. But yesterday, after my teacher asked me to have my coursework finished and typed up by Monday, I just got it done. Granted it took me a while, but now it's not hanging over me and I won't have to add it to my list of work to do on Sunday. As Charles Dickens said, "Never do tomorrow what can be done today. Procrastination is the thief of time." Very wise Charles, very wise.

Hope you're all doing well,

Just a bit of a chat...

Hi guys! Hope you're all doing well :) I felt like doing an update kind of post today and just have chat about life...

I've been back at school for almost a month now and I'm having trouble picking out outfits. It's very ironic considering in a post I did during the summer, I said that I was looking forward to choosing what to wear to school! In the morning, when I'm tired and grumpy and in a rush, the ensemble that I grab from my drawers seems to look and feel fine, but after a couple hours at school, I wish I could pop back home to change! It's so annoying because last year, I felt good everyday just in my normal clothes and didn't over think my outfits. I've been trying to take a more relaxed approached when it comes to clashing colours and patterns lately, but I think it might actually be causing me to be more uptight about what I'm wearing! At 7am, neon orange and bright red might look great together, but at 12pm, I'm hating it. A big shopping splurge sounds delicious to me, but my funds aren't too fab at the moment... I'm going to have to take a long hard look at my clothes and try to feel the love again ;)

On a more positive note, I have managed to rise from my cosy bed at around 7am everyday (for school)! For me, this is a hefty achievement as last year I was getting up as late as possible and had my poor mom banging on my door every five minutes. I love getting up earlier and have established a new routine: I get up, chuck on a hoody and some socks, make my breakfast which is usual apple and peanut butter or rice crispies (and always a cup of tea), then I climb back into bed with my food and watch YouTube videos! It's lovely to have a more relaxed morning and getting back into bed after making breakfast is sooooooo nice. I have to admit, it is tempting to just stay put, but I'm fairly good at jumping in the shower before time has run away from me.

I had the day off school today due to teachers striking - yesterday was the most Friday-feeling Monday ever! I thought that I had a ton of history homework to do for tomorrow, but turns out it's not in till Friday, yay! Now, a sensible person would do the homework today and get it out of the way, but a procrastinator like me enjoys their day off by doing nothing related to school at all ;) Having said that, I'll probably start feeling guilty and stressed in a bit and will be scrambling for my folders and homework diary - I'm a nerd at heart!

The Great British Bake Off is on tonight :D I'm looking forward to drooling over the food and chuckling at Mel and Sue's one-liners. I know that lots of people aren't fans of Mel and Sue and think their presence on the show is unnecessary, but I love them! They're hilarious! Speaking of hilarity, Bad Education is also on later... tonight shall be a night of laughter, Jack Whitehall is so funny.

Hope this chatty post wasn't boring! What have you been up to lately?
