Jeans - Topshop, Cardigan - Asos, Top - Ebay

Today I got up ridiculously late overslept a little and just threw on a simple outfit. I am a proud owner of The Big Bang Theory seasons 1-5 box set and I watch it every single day, including today! It made sense to wear my comfy Big Bang t-shirt and a cosy cardigan.

When I was younger, I'd spend snow days sledging in the park, but I haven't even thrown a single snowball, or attempted to give life to a snowman this year! It's either a sign of growing up, or a sign that I'm becoming lazier...

Hope you're enjoying your weekend,

Winter Wonderland

My kitty enjoying the snow

So after having just a sprinkling of snow earlier in the week... there's now a hefty covering. It always amazes me that us Britons think it's a HUGE deal when it snows, Other countries that get enormous amounts of snow every year must think we're crazy!

I used to adore the snow when I was younger, sledging in the park was such a treat. I do still find it a little exciting, but it always makes me worry about which shoes to wear!

If it snowed where you are I hope you're enjoying it! Have a fab weekend :)

Stationary Addict

Did someone say notebook?!

I have to admit, I'm a slight stationary addict... my friends have to literally drag me out of Paperchase. I just adore pretty notebooks and stickers and scrapbooks and diaries...

As my love of stationary is pretty well known amongst my family and friends, I received lots of goodies for Christmas :D The only problem is that I always start a new notebook before I finish the one I'm using, meaning I end up with a draw full of half used books... it's just too tempting!

The pages in these Paperchase notebooks are so cute, it's all in the details! ;)

I'm forever going on about how I long to go to NYC, so my friend Lauren got me this journal. I was reading about the jar idea where you write down every good thing that happens in 2013 on paper, and put it all in a jar, then you open it at the end of the year and realise what a fab time you've had! I think it's a lovely idea, so I've been writing down the happy things that happen in this NYC book, and so far I'm liking it :)

You can't go wrong with stickers, although they are annoyingly hard to photograph!!

I'm not going to be needing any new stationary for a while! Maybe one of my new years resolutions should have been not to start a new notebook before I finish one... I'm not sure that I'd be able to stick that one though ;)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend,

P.S. If you too are a stationary lover, you'll love Angela's blog - Paper Lovestory

Organised Clutter

My room is fairly small, which means I resort to the "organised clutter" approach...

Most surfaces or any spare spaces are filled up with my belongings - in a reasonably neat way! I actually like the way it looks, my room is white and so books, boxes and whatever else,  conveniently bring in colour :)

Everything in my room has a place, and I try to keep it tidy, even if it is organised clutter! ;)

What do you think of this technique?

P.S. Sorry that the photos aren't very good, that'll teach me for trying to take good photos when it's getting dark! x

New Years Resolutions!

First of all, I owe you a huge apology for disappearing from the blogging world for so long! My only excuse is that I'm finding A Levels a great deal harder that I thought I would...any tips would be much appreciated!
Secondly, happy new year! I never make a big deal of out new year, sometimes I find it kind of depressing, but this year I'm feeing excited about having a fresh start! :)

Here are my new years resolutions, they're not the most original, but hopefully you might find them interesting!

1) Get up earlier
I'm a but of a night owl, I find that it feels natural to stay up late, but then I regret the lie ins that come with that. When I do get up early, I enjoy it! To be honest, I always say I'm going to get up earlier... I hope I mean it this time!

2) Play the ukulele more
I love music and used to really enjoy playing the guitar when I was younger. I'm a ukulele player these days (I went to go and see the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain last month - they were soooooo good, and hilarious!). Practising a little bit every day is a great way to improve, and I love the uke, so this one shouldn't be too hard.

3) Be wise and productive with spare time
I would love to be some kind of journalist, so I want to start writing articles, reviews etc, on a regular basis. Most of my idols were doing what they wanted to do as a job (musician, actress, writer etc), when they were my age, even just as a hobby, it'll give me some experience either way. :)

4) Get Jane's Jumbles up and running again!!!

5) Stop Procrastinating
I feel like this is on most people's lists,  but it really is a huge one. My ultimate aim is to do my homework on the day I get it. I'm a culprit of allowing work to pile up and become a hugely daunting task. I think that getting work out of the way quicker, and whilst it's still fresh in my memory, will make me much more cheerful! :)

Again, I'm sorry for being absent these past few months... I'm back and raring to go! :)
What are your new years resolutions?
